Why do you think it increases some people's ego to degrade another person (especially when they're down)?

In some cases yes, in others no. Plus some want you to degrade and some don't.
I think it makes people feel better becase they will know that that person is feeling as sad or sadder than thim.
Cause we dont think what we say befor we say. We just say it befor saying it to other people than you fell bad and the feel sad.
They feel like they are powerful and popular when they do that.
They probably understood how much Jesus really loved us, so they knew why he said that.
I think its because it makes them forget what their life is at home.
When somebody is down and then somebody else goes and puts them down the person who put them down just feels better because they just did something to make them laugh or whatever.
I think it makes them feel a little better about them selves when someone feels as bad or even worse then they do.
People do that because they think they are all that, and they just love to do that, even you fell really down.
They think there popular but they aint.And they think there high and mighty
Because they think bringing someone down after doing something wrong will make what they did seem right.
Becuse it makes them fell better.
Because they feel left out.they feel depressed,they feel like no one wants them as a friend or no one is paying attention to them.
Most cases it will hurt a lot of people but in some cases it is not that bad but in all cases it will effect somebody involed in the situation.
They'll always have Jesus in their hearts.
I don't know if this was posted or not but I think saying the latest gossip makes you feel like you are so cool but when the person who actually had to deal with the pain. I don't know if that was clear enough but ya.

i think its cause people dont really know what to say but they just say it anyway.
It's because they were treated this way themselves and they feel that they should show others how they feel, because they think no one else will listen unless they do.
